Shana Bachman grew up in southwestern Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received a bachelor’s in journalism. She worked in public relations and documentary film production in Chicago for a few years before heading to Seoul, South Korea, to teach English.
Shana went to law school at the University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis. During law school, she clerked for the public defender’s office and decided to pursue indigent criminal defense. She began her legal career at the Clark County Public Defender’s office in Las Vegas. She has also worked at the State of Alaska Public Defender and the Washoe County Public Defender.
Shana is a live music lover and budding musician and dedicates time to serving on non-profit music organizations. She practices yoga often and can often be found hiking or biking in the mountains.
